POEM: "The Girl With The Raven Hair'. By Helen Leigh

Moonlight lit the cold night air,
And showed the face of true despair,
Was such a girl embodied there,
The girl with the Raven hair.

She sat upon the seat and wept,
While the winds they blew for her bereft,
And revealed that there was nothing left,
The girl with the Sparrow breast.

With tear filled eyes soaked hopeless face,
She looked up from the deep disgrace,
And begged to change with nights embrace,
The girl with the Robins gaze.

At once the chill had left the air,
Clouds parted way and a Star appeared,
To let her know that someone's there,
For the girl with the Raven hair.
